Facebook public-Reel tool

Check available files for a public Facebook Reel

Paste the public URL for an individual Facebook Reel. The tool shows only compatible media options returned for that Reel; format, quality, orientation, and audio are source-dependent.

Link to the individual public Reel Profile, feed, collection, private, login-only, removed, or unsupported URLs cannot provide a usable result.

Checked outside your browser The URL is validated by our server and checked through an external provider. Filtered results may be cached briefly. Privacy details.

Check the correct Reel, then review its result

01

Open the individual Reel

Do not copy a creator profile or Reels feed URL. Open the specific Reel you have permission to save.

02

Copy and submit its link

Use Facebook’s Share menu, choose Copy link, and paste the complete HTTPS address into the field above.

03

Inspect the returned labels

Choose only from the options displayed for that Reel. Missing format, audio, or quality information is not a guarantee.

Identify an individual Facebook Reel link

Facebook can issue more than one URL form. These patterns can be submitted when they resolve to a publicly accessible individual Reel.

Direct Reel URL

facebook.com/reel/123…

The clearest pattern for one specific Reel.

Reel share URL

facebook.com/share/r/…

A short share link may work when it resolves to a public Reel.

Not an individual Reel

facebook.com/reels/

A general feed, profile, or collection URL does not identify the requested media item.

Public is essential but not sufficient: a Reel can still fail when it is deleted, region- or age-restricted, temporarily unavailable, or unsupported by the current provider.

The tool does not edit or enhance the Reel

The returned file comes from an available remote media option. This site does not crop a landscape upload into portrait, add missing sound, remove branding, increase resolution, or manufacture another format.

  • Orientation follows the returned source file
  • Audio is present only when supplied in the selected option
  • Quality and container labels can differ between Reels
  • A larger label cannot improve the original upload

Match the error to the likely cause

The URL opens a feed or profile

Return to the Reel, open its Share menu, and copy that item’s link. A general Reels feed does not identify one file.

The Reel requires a login

Test the URL in a private browser window. If it is not visible there without signing in, the downloader cannot access it.

No compatible option appears

The provider may not support that URL form or the Reel may be unavailable or restricted. Copy a fresh direct link and retry once later.

Audio, shape, or quality differs

Those properties come from the remote option. Try another displayed file if available; the site cannot reconstruct missing media.

A Reel lookup uses the shared protected flow

1

Server checks

The submitted address is validated for HTTPS, an approved host, request limits, and an existing cached response.

2

External lookup

When needed, the server sends the URL through the configured provider and rejects unexpected response fields or media locations.

3

Short retention

Filtered server and device lookup results may remain for about 15 minutes; recent browser history can remain for up to seven days.

Public viewing does not grant reuse rights

  • Prefer your own Reel or obtain the creator’s permission.
  • Consider music, performance, privacy, and attribution rights.
  • Follow applicable law and Facebook’s terms.

Do not

  • Bypass private-account or audience restrictions.
  • Repost another creator’s Reel as your own.
  • Assume “public” means free for commercial reuse.
