Video Downloader Help and Troubleshooting
Search 37 practical answers covering public-link requirements, access limits, missing results, provider messages, expired downloads, saved-file locations, privacy, and safe support reporting.
Links and URL checks
Fix empty, incomplete, non-HTTPS, unsupported, profile, feed, collection, or redirected addresses before retrying.
The site says: Enter a public video URL before checking options. The URL field is empty after spaces are removed.
Copy one complete public post or video address from Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, paste it into the matching tool, and submit again.
The site says: Use the full HTTPS URL copied from the public post. The address does not use HTTPS or is not a complete secure link.
Return to the platform and use Share or Copy link. Do not repair an unknown address merely by typing https in front of it; copy the genuine final platform URL.
The site says: Enter a complete URL. The browser could not parse the submitted text as a complete web address.
Remove captions, quotation marks, spaces inside the address, or punctuation copied after it. Copy the full address again rather than submitting a shortened fragment.
The site says: Enter a supported public Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube HTTPS URL. The server rejected the protocol or source hostname.
Use a genuine supported platform hostname and a direct public item. The approved public directory currently exposes Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok tools; YouTube routes remain isolated and under review.
A profile, feed, hashtag, audio, or collection URL does not work. Downloader tools need one eligible public media item, not a page that lists multiple items.
Open the individual post, Reel, Story, or video, then copy that item's own address. Review the supported-link guide before retrying.
A shortened TikTok link redirects but still fails. Short links depend on a valid redirect to an eligible public TikTok video.
Open the shortened link in your browser, allow it to reach the final public video, then copy the final address and try once. Stop if it leads to a profile, photo post, restricted item, or an unexpected domain.
Public access and restrictions
Identify conditions that repeated submissions cannot change: privacy, login, audience, deletion, expiry, age, region, and creator controls.
How can I check whether a post is genuinely public? A visible post inside your signed-in account is not necessarily public.
Open the exact link in a private or signed-out browser window. If the platform requests login, membership, friendship, follower approval, or another permission, it is outside the supported public workflow.
Can the site download private or login-protected content? No. The service does not request account credentials or bypass platform access controls.
Do not send usernames, passwords, cookies, session exports, private invitation links, or account-only addresses. Ask the owner for an authorized copy instead.
Why is a public-looking post unavailable? Visibility can still depend on audience, group, age, region, lifecycle, or creator settings.
The item may be Friends-only, follower-only, group-only, Close Friends, age-restricted, region-restricted, deleted, expired, disabled for saving, or still processing. These states are controlled by the source platform or creator.
Can an expired Story or deleted video be recovered? The downloader cannot restore media that the source no longer makes available.
Ask the creator for a copy or use an authorized archive you already control. Repeated requests cannot recreate expired, removed, or deleted content.
Results, quality, and formats
Understand empty results, missing HD, fewer options, audio differences, image results, and compatibility limits.
The site says: No supported public media was found for this URL. The accepted provider response contained no eligible media option after filtering.
Confirm the address points to one public video item and that it still opens without login. The provider may not support that post type, or returned media may be missing, malformed, unsafe, or unavailable.
The site says: No currently valid download options are available. Every returned option was absent, invalid, unsafe, unsupported, or already expired.
Return to the original platform post URL and use Check again once. Do not paste a temporary media or proxy URL into the main field.
Why are HD or higher-quality options missing? The site displays compatible options currently returned; it does not create a quality the source/provider omitted.
Recording quality, upload processing, platform storage, post state, provider inventory, and safety filtering can all limit the result. Select from the actual options shown.
Why is MP4, WebM, MP3, or audio not offered? A container or audio-only result appears only when the current source/provider response supplies an eligible option.
The service does not transcode, extract audio, merge tracks, or manufacture missing formats. Try another displayed option and test it in the destination device or application.
Why did an Instagram result contain an image or multiple items? Instagram posts and Stories can contain images, videos, or carousel items.
Check each displayed result and save only the item you need. The response order and completeness depend on the public source and provider; a video-only result is not guaranteed.
Why are audio or watermark details different from expected? Audio tracks, branding, labels, and variants are controlled by the source and current provider result.
Review the actual preview, file information, and saved file. The site does not promise to add audio, remove branding, or return a particular source variant.
The file downloads but will not play or import. Successful delivery does not guarantee compatibility with every player, editor, presentation tool, TV, or phone.
Check that the file is complete, compare its container and codecs with the destination requirements, play the full timeline, test seeking and audio, and try another returned option if available.
Processing and service messages
Respond safely to provider failures, timeouts, invalid responses, configuration messages, method errors, and request limits.
The media provider could not be reached or the request timed out. The application could not complete the external lookup within its connection limits.
Confirm your own connection, wait briefly, and retry once. Opening many tabs or submitting continuously will not restore an unavailable upstream service.
The media provider could not process this URL. The provider returned a non-success response for that lookup.
Confirm the exact item is direct and public. If another eligible public post works, the problem is likely source-specific. Otherwise wait and try once later.
The media provider returned an invalid response. The upstream response was not usable in the expected safe structured form.
Wait and retry once later. If it repeats across multiple eligible public posts, report the exact message, platform, browser, and time without including private or signed URLs.
The media lookup service is temporarily unavailable or not configured. The required local database or provider configuration is unavailable.
Visitors cannot correct a server configuration problem. Wait and retry later; contact support if the condition persists across eligible public posts.
The site says: Too many requests. A temporary lookup or download abuse limit has been reached.
Wait for the displayed period or Retry-After interval. Do not use multiple tabs, refresh loops, or automated retries to evade the limit.
The server says the request method is not allowed. A runtime endpoint was opened directly or called with the wrong HTTP method.
Return to a normal tool page and use its form or Download button. Do not bookmark, automate, or navigate directly to the lookup endpoint.
Several platforms stop working at the same time. A shared provider, network, database, or deployment condition may be affecting the service.
Test only one known public link per supported platform, record the exact messages and time, then stop repeated attempts. Check again later or contact support with safe diagnostic context.
Download and saved-file problems
Regenerate expired links, handle remote-host errors, save files intentionally, locate partial transfers, and avoid sharing signed URLs.
This download link is invalid or has expired. The short-lived URL, expiry time, signature, or approved parameters no longer validate.
Return to the matching tool, paste the original public post URL, generate fresh options, and use the new Download button promptly. Never edit the signature or remote URL.
The remote media host could not be verified or is no longer available. The remote HTTPS host, public network address, redirect chain, or media response could not be approved.
Do not bypass or rewrite the destination. Process the original public post later or choose another returned option.
The browser opens the video instead of saving it. Some direct media responses use the browser player instead of an attachment download.
Use the browser player menu, long-press the media on mobile, or use Save video as / Download linked file where your browser provides it. Do not install an unknown extension just to change this behavior.
The download stopped or produced a very small file. The remote transfer may have failed, timed out, slowed, expired, or been interrupted.
Delete the clearly partial file, confirm storage and network stability, regenerate the option from the original post, and retry once. A zero-byte or implausibly small file is not a valid completed download.
Should I share a signed download URL with support? No. A signed link contains a remote media URL and may work until its short expiry.
Share the exact visible error message and safe context instead. Do not send signed links, provider URLs, cookies, credentials, or private post addresses.
Phones, browsers, and file locations
Find saved files and resolve browser permissions, storage, playback, and device-specific behavior.
Where is my download on Android? Most Android browsers save files in Downloads unless you selected another location.
Open Files, My Files, or your browser menu and check Downloads. Also check the notification history, available storage, and whether the browser has permission to save files.
Where is my download on iPhone or iPad? Safari downloads usually appear in the Files app rather than Photos.
Open Files, then Browse and check iCloud Drive/Downloads or On My iPhone/Downloads according to Safari settings. Use Share then Save Video only when iOS offers that action for a compatible file.
Where is my download on Windows, macOS, or Linux? Desktop browsers normally use the configured Downloads folder or ask for a destination.
Open the browser download list first, then choose Show in folder or the equivalent. Check browser download settings if the file went to an unexpected location.
The browser blocked the download or asked for permission. Browser, operating-system, storage, security, or managed-device rules can block a valid transfer.
Review the browser's download notice and site permissions, confirm free storage, and follow your organization's device policy. Do not disable security software globally or approve an unexpected executable.
Privacy, history, and responsible use
Understand URL processing, local history, short caches, consent, support-safe reporting, and permission boundaries.
What happens to a URL after I submit it? The application validates it and, when needed, sends the full public URL through RapidAPI to the configured lookup provider.
Filtered results may be cached in the browser for about 15 minutes. The server cache uses a SHA-256 URL key, leaves its legacy plaintext URL field blank, and keeps the filtered response for up to 15 minutes.
How do I clear recent history or site data? Home Clear All removes the recent-history list; browser site-data controls have a wider scope.
Recent history can contain the submitted URL, public title, and time for up to seven days and 50 items. Clear site data to also remove local result entries, consent state, and the offline public-page cache.
What should I include in a support report? Send the exact message and enough safe context to reproduce the stage.
Include platform, tool-page route, exact message, date/time/timezone, browser/device, the step that failed, and whether another eligible public post works. Redact URLs and personal information from screenshots.
When am I allowed to save a public video? Public visibility alone does not grant ownership or reuse permission.
Save media only when you own it, have permission, or otherwise have a lawful basis. Respect copyright, privacy, platform terms, and creator choices; do not redistribute or commercialize files without authorization.
