Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
VideoDownloader.click respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Do Not Request
We do not require an account, payment details, or a personal profile to use the public downloader tools.
2. URLs and Media Lookup Processing
When you submit a supported public media URL, your browser sends it to our application server. The server sends that URL to our third-party media lookup provider, RapidAPI and the API provider available through it, so the service can identify available media options.
For short-term performance caching, the submitted URL is represented in our database by a SHA-256 hash rather than stored in its original text form. Filtered lookup results, which may contain time-limited media URLs and basic public media metadata, are cached for up to 15 minutes. The remote platform or media host receives normal network information when a preview or download is requested.
3. Browser Storage and Download History
The site uses browser local storage for essential preferences, consent state, a short-lived media-result cache, and recent download history. The media-result cache expires after approximately 15 minutes. Recent history can contain the submitted URL, public media title, and time of use and is retained in that browser for up to seven days. You can remove recent history with the Clear All control shown on the home page. Clearing site data in your browser also removes this information. The URL processing, caching, history, and privacy guide explains the scope of each browser control.
4. Operational Logs
Our server may create limited operational and security logs, such as timestamps, response categories, rate-limit events, and technical error codes. We do not intentionally place complete submitted URLs or full media-provider responses in application diagnostic logs. Hosting and infrastructure providers may separately maintain standard access and security logs under their own retention practices.
5. Cookies, Consent, Analytics, and Advertising
Optional Google Analytics, Contentsquare experience analytics, and Google AdSense scripts are loaded only after the site records an accepted optional-cookie choice. If you decline, the site does not intentionally initialize those optional services. Your choice is stored in browser local storage.
Where advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver or measure ads, prevent fraud, and apply personalization choices subject to the consent mechanism and applicable requirements.
6. Other Third-Party Resources
The site uses RapidAPI and its media lookup provider to process submitted public URLs. It may also load necessary interface resources from providers such as jQuery CDN on downloader routes. Interface fonts and icons are served from the site stylesheet rather than separate font or icon-font providers. Requests to external resource providers can include technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested resource, referrer, and request time.
7. Search and Aggregate Measurement
We may use Google Search Console and consented analytics information to understand search visibility, page performance, device categories, aggregate usage, and service reliability. We do not need the full URL you submit to measure ordinary page and tool performance.
8. Data Security
We use HTTPS for site and approved remote-media requests, restrict the hosts the download proxy can contact, validate short-lived proxy links, and apply request limits. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the effective date.
11. Contact
