Supported Public Platforms and Link Types

VideoDownloader.click currently publishes six tools for public Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok items. This directory separates hostname acceptance, likely single-item URL patterns, provider resolution, filtered outputs, and source-controlled restrictions so that “supported” is not mistaken for a guarantee.

What this status verifies

Verified in the application

Six public tool routes; HTTPS/source-host validation; current accepted base domains; provider request path; filtered title, author, source, duration, thumbnail, and media fields; eligible video, image, or audio result types; and signed/direct download handling.

Provider and source dependent

Whether a particular URL resolves today, which post items are returned, available resolution/container/audio/branding labels, media-host lifetime, and temporary upstream availability.

Not implied by “active”

Access to every URL on an accepted domain, private-content access, a promised format or quality, permanent media links, uninterrupted availability, or permission to save and reuse someone else’s work.

Review method: public routes, tool-page examples, source-domain validator, provider request, result filtering, proxy safeguards, navigation, registry, sitemap, and isolation rules checked July 28, 2026. No uptime percentage or universal success rate is claimed.

Platform status and accepted public-link candidates

Active public tools

facebook.com, fb.watch, and their subdomains over HTTPS
Published tools
Public Video and public Reels
Candidate patterns
/watch/?v=…, /PageName/videos/…, /reel/…, eligible video/Reel share links

Facebook Video Facebook Reels
Active public tools

Instagram

Accepted base domain
instagram.com and its subdomains over HTTPS
Published tools
Public Video posts, public Reels, and eligible active public Stories
Candidate patterns
/p/…, /reel/…, /stories/name/item-id
Key boundary
Profiles, Explore, audio pages, private accounts, Close Friends, expired Stories, Highlights, archives, and login-only views are not direct eligible public items.
Instagram Video Instagram Reels Instagram Stories
Active public tool

TikTok

Accepted base domain
tiktok.com and its subdomains over HTTPS
Published tool
Public individual videos
Candidate patterns
/@name/video/…, vm.tiktok.com/…, vt.tiktok.com/… when a short link resolves safely
Key boundary
Profiles, feeds, photo posts, private/age/region restrictions, deleted items, creator settings, redirects, and provider inventory can prevent results.

Four checks determine whether one link works

  1. Transport and hostname acceptanceThe submitted address must be HTTPS on the standard secure port, contain no embedded credentials, avoid IP-literal hosts, and match a configured source base domain or subdomain.
  2. Single-item routeAn accepted hostname is only the first gate. The address should identify one public post, video, Reel, or active Story rather than a profile, feed, search, audio, hashtag, or collection page.
  3. Public retrievability and provider resolutionThe item must remain available without account-only access, and the external lookup provider must currently resolve usable media for it.
  4. Safe result preparationReturned thumbnails and media must use approved HTTPS media hosts. Only cleaned fields and eligible video, image, or audio entries are displayed.

Tool-by-tool coverage and current output contract

“Application-handled” is not “always returned”

The current response filter recognizes eligible video, image, and audio media types plus cleaned quality, label, extension, title, author, source, duration, and thumbnail fields. A field or type appears only when the provider supplies it and it passes validation. The site does not promise MP4, MP3, HD, original quality, audio, a particular watermark state, every carousel item, or any fixed number of options.

Known restrictions across every platform

  • Account and audience controls: private, follower/friend/group-only, Close Friends, login-only, paid, age-restricted, or region-restricted content remains outside the public workflow.
  • Content lifecycle: deleted, expired, unpublished, still-processing, or source-disabled items may not resolve even when an older address still exists.
  • Route type: profiles, feeds, Explore/search pages, hashtags, audio pages, collections, archives, and general content indexes do not identify one eligible item.
  • Provider and media-host state: upstream changes, quota, timeouts, invalid responses, expired media URLs, DNS/redirect checks, and approved-host filtering can change the available result.
  • Output limits: format, container, codec, resolution, audio, orientation, branding, filename, and compatibility depend on the returned source variant and destination device.
  • Permission: technical availability does not grant copyright ownership or permission to save, reuse, publish, redistribute, or commercialize media.

How current status is maintained

ActiveThe canonical public tool is discoverable, returns HTTP 200 locally, and remains connected to the shared validated lookup workflow.
Provider-dependentNo uptime or success percentage is inferred. A live public post still needs a current eligible external response.
Lifecycle-sensitiveAvailability can change quickly, especially for Stories, deleted posts, short redirects, and temporary media URLs.
Review dateThe visible date changes only after a meaningful application, route, content, or verification review—not automatically each day.
